MIG Supports the Hope for Freedom 5k Walk/Run

Multi Image Group is always on the lookout for ways to help our community....

Recently, one of our top visual designers, Josh Titus, was able to help his aunt raise donations and bring awareness about modern human trafficking for an event coming up this Saturday, May 9th, 2015 at 9:00am at John Prince Park (click on the links below for more information).

The first annual Hope for Freedom 5k Walk/Run was organized by Leigh Anne D’Avanzo and her group, The Bible Study Babes, in an effort to help support #HOPECHALLENGE15. HOPECHALLENGE15 is a call to action urging people to arrange their own events of any kind to help raise donations and assist in bringing awareness and helping solve the ugly truth of modern human trafficking.

Hope For Freedom

Josh Titus said, "My Aunt Leigh Anne has a passion for running and attending marathons, so naturally she and her group organized a 5k to do their part."

Leigh Anne D’Avanzo said, "The Bible Study Babes are encouraging anybody to join in and participate digitally via the Nike+ App on May 9th. However, people living near to the area can join in and participate by running alongside us in John Prince Park. Each participant that registers (anywhere in the world) will receive certificates in the mail upon post completion. All proceeds curated by the event will be donated via Christian Fellowship Church to the Hope House. The Hope House is a Florida-based organization that takes victims (predominantly female minors) into their “halfway house” to become educated and introduced back into society. More information on the Hope House and how they assist victims of human trafficking can be found here."

Josh added, "My personal donation to the cause consisted of lending my web development and graphic design talents to help The Bible Study Babes in branding the event and to effectively collect donations. After building a brand for the event, consisting of a logo, color palette and photography manipulations, I built a responsive eCommerce website allowing donors to easily make contributions from any device to surf the web with—from desktops to tablets to phones. Along with securely processing transactions, the site also builds a database of all registrants with names and addresses which The Bible Study Babes can then utilize post event in mailing out the completion certificates to participants. The framework is now all in place to hopefully be utilized annually in bringing people together to do their part and help make the world a better place.”

All employees at Multi Image Group are encouraged to find causes they’re passionate about and do what they can to help make a difference.
