The Audio-Visual Technician will work with a team of over 100 professionals in a world-class facility based in South Florida and will report directly to the Senior Director of Video Technology Development.  The Audio-Visual Technician is responsible for maintenance and preparation of equipment and will assist in in all phases of pre and post production. Training will be provided for MIG’s inventory system.
Requirements:
Loading/unloading of trucks of designated/assigned equipment, Set and strike equipment for local shows/events, Occasional travel required, Must be able to work long hours when required – which include evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
Two years of experience, Knowledge and experience with the following: Hi-Res Switching (Barco/Folsom, AnalogWay), HD Video switchers, Professional video cameras, Video Projectors, both DLP and LCD, Miscellaneous video terminal gear
This detail-oriented A1 or A2 will work with a team of over 100 professionals in a world-class facility based in South Florida and will report directly to the Senior Director of Audio Production Services. This position provides a real growth opportunity for a motivated individual looking for a place to start a career. Responsibilities: Office responsibilities include but are not limited to: -Understanding of CAD plots. -Servicing of gear and preparation of sound systems. -Finalize and implement all needed audio routing which the show will entail. Show site responsibilities include but are not limited to: -Set up, cabling and trouble-shooting all audio gear. -Prepping and overseeing gear pulled for shows. -Programming and operation of the entire audio system during shows and events. -Supervision of local crews that assist in set up/strike. -Working with clients and Producers to create /edit audio tracks and execute flawless audio cues for show. -Face-to-face client interaction. -Projects vary greatly in scope and size therefore some or all of these responsibilities could be required or used on any given event. Qualifications: We are looking for a candidate with the following criteria:
-First and foremost – a passion and desire for audio and the ability of being a team player in the audio department.
-A detail-oriented individual with some preferred industry experience in theater, corporate productions, audio visual or concert production.
-Understanding of MIG audio equipment and its proper usage and functionality.
-Computer skills working in Mac or PC platform are a must.
-Must be able to work long hours when required – which could, occasionally, require working evenings and weekends.
-Must be able to travel frequently.
-Thorough understanding and use of Yamaha and Digico consoles, Shure UHF mic systems, IAS (frequency coordination), Crown Performance Manager / System Architect, Qlab cueing software and ProTools.

LIGHTING PROGRAMMER
LED Technician MIG is seeking a skilled and experienced LED Video Display Technician to join our team. As an LED Video Display Technician, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of LED video display systems for live events. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for creating visually captivating experiences. Responsibilities:

  1. LED Video Display Setup and Operation:
    • Install, configure, and calibrate LED video display systems according to event requirements

    • Ensure proper connectivity and synchronization of LED video displays with other event production elements, such as lighting, audio, and video systems

    • Collaborate with the production team to integrate LED video displays seamlessly into the event space

    • Perform video signal routing, processing, and scaling as necessary

  2. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

    • Conduct regular inspections of LED video displays to ensure optimal performance and visual quality
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to LED video display systems, including connectivity, video playback, color calibration, and synchronization
    • Keep abreast of the latest advancements in LED video display technology and apply best practices to ensure high-quality visuals
  3. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with the production team, including lighting designers, audio engineers, and set designers, to ensure a cohesive and synchronized event production
    • Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and vendors to understand and fulfill LED video display requirements
    • Provide technical guidance and support to the production team during load-in, setup, and teardown phases of the even
  4. Safety and Compliance:
    • Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards in all aspects of LED video display operations
    • Implement proper rigging techniques and procedures to ensure the safe installation and operation of LED video display systems

Qualifications/Skills: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience as an LED Video Display Technician for live events, Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with LED video display systems, Familiarity with video signal routing, processing, and scaling, Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to LED video displays, Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining attention to detail, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, and vendors, Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, Flexibility to travel and work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules
The Video Engineer will work with a team of over 100 professionals in a world-class facility based in South Florida and will report directly to the Senior Director of Video Technology Development. The Video Engineer will be involved with high-end live meetings and events and will be responsible for maintenance, preparation and engineering of video equipment. Responsibilities:
  • This is not a desk job. Heavy travel will be required.
  • Physical labor will be required to move gear from place to place.
  • Must be able to engineer, act as Technical Director, and Video Director for multi-camera switching systems. Must be able to assist in the repair and maintenance of various pieces of video equipment.
  • Must be able to manage on-site video crews with the goal of installing the show, set-up and strike.
  • Occasional face-to-face client interaction.
Qualifications/Skills:
-Must understand both Hi-Res and video resolution signal flow, and mixing multiple types of signals together. -Must have experience with Hi-Res. Matrix switchers, such as the Barco Encore and the Vista Spyder. -Must have experience with large scale and blended projection. -Must be able to work long hours when required – which include evenings and weekends. -Basic Vectorworks skills are a plus. Some CAD experience necessary. -Experience with the following equipment: Barco/Folsom Image Pro, Barco/Folsom Presentation Pro, Barco/Folsom ScreenPro + ScreenPro II, Barco/Folsom Encore, Vista Systems Spyder, AnalogWay switchers, Christie Projectors, Soldering Iron, BNC/RF Crimper
This detail-oriented Technical Director will work with a team of over 100 professionals in a world-class facility based in South Florida and will report directly to the Director of Technical Services. The Technical Director is responsible for implementing all technical elements of assigned projects. They must be knowledgeable with all assigned technical crew’s responsibilities and assist with engineering and troubleshooting on any given show. Responsibilities:
-Must adhere to all company procedures in regards to formats & processes during pre-show development (i.e. folder/file management, detailed information in project folders, renders, CADS, hotel info etc.). br> -Create detailed realistic budgets based on assigned projects, RFPs & set designs.
-Create or revise CAD layouts based on various needs/issues when they arise.
-Must account for all technical expenses such as crew travel, per diem, shipping, labor.
-Schedule and book all local labor when needed.
-Coordinate trucking deliveries & pick-up of equipment.
-Supervise load-in/load-out of all assigned projects.
-Supervise onsite crew time management & documentation.
Qualifications/Skills:
